BOMB is an international, non-denominational Christian outreach ministry, whose aim is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in an alternative manner through the sport of mountain biking. Our intent is to expand the Gospel through people who mountain bike, thereby bringing the Word to those who are not Christians, encouraging ongoing fellowship with those who are, and presenting the opportunity for all to develop a personal relationship with Christ.

Spokane has some great local mountain biking destinations, and we hit them all: Riverside State Park, Beacon Hill, South Hill, Liberty Lake, and Mount Spokane, to name a few. Just a little further out we enjoy considerably more varied and challenging terrain, with excellent trails in the surrounding mountains including northern Idaho and western Montana.  Given our climate, our “riding season” generally runs from April through October.  Over the course of a season we try to take in a little of everything!

Spokane BOMB group rides are designed to accommodate riders of differing skill levels, and ensure that no one gets “left behind” or put in situations that are dangerous or exceed their personal limitations. Beginners to experts, there’s something for everyone. Since BOMB is also about fellowship, we also hold occasional social events, picnics, and perhaps some overnight camping or longer road trips to more distant biking destinations.  In addition, BOMB chapters in other states have been meeting together for years in places like Moab, giving bikers from across the US and around the world the chance to ride together and be in communion as the Body of Christ. You may even have the opportunity to participate in a mountain biking mission trip to a place like Ukraine with International Sports Federation!

There’s a lot more about the group on our “Vision” page.  Does this sound like something you’d like to be a part of? Come join us!

Spokane BOMB supports

Spokane BOMB is open to all interested riders – believers and non-believers alike – and is not directly affiliated with any local church. There are NO membership fees, secret handshakes or other special requirements. (However, you MUST wear a helmet on all rides.) We welcome anyone looking to share in the thrill and challenge of mountain biking, to explore the splendor and beauty of God’s natural creation, and to just have some good, clean fun on the trails. In carrying the name of “Believers” on mountain bikes, we also seek to honor the Name of the Lord in everything we say and do (Colossians 3:17).
